America baby :)

Purdue! Home of the Boilermakers..my new home for the year..I've been here for over a month and I have to say I'm loving it!

However the flight from Boston to Indianopolis was a different story. I was literally I was literally balling my eyes out..! Homesickness and regret had already hit me. Rather than feeling embarassed, I feel sorry for the guy sitting next to me! He must have thought "what the hell is up with this girl next to me?!"  I eventually arrived in Indianopolis and I tell you what it was not an easy journey or flight...the luggage was a pain in my arse to carry! Weirdly enough also I had to collect my baggage in my transit and then re check it in! How completely new and confusing is that?? I was soo worried that I would miss my connecting flight but luckly enough i didn't!!

Just before my departure I found out I was in Harrison hall....Purdue residences aren't the best with updates or emails...! I just about found out by chance I was placed into temporary housing and needed to pay a bill. So logically I went to pay the bill but then saw it had increased...so what the fudge? I was moved to a permenant hall..Harrison but wasn't told! Oh well I guess...as long as I have a roof over my head and a place to sleep :)

As seen in al the American dramas you have to share a room...lucky enough my room mate is from the UK! How amazing is that right?  To have someone is the exact same position as me is quite reassuring! But yes so my apprehensions about the room mate were put to rest! :)  In terms of the room...I prefer my room at the holt..this room reminds me of a hospital if I have to be honest. The beds themselves I have to jump on because they are soo high... which is a laugh! But on a good note the bed tis more comfy than that of the Holt!

The campus is amazing! HUGE! 10x bigger than that of Lboro..but what I ABSOLUTELY LOVE is the FREE yes FREE bus travel I have around campus and the town! Its soo helpful, I think it will be a blessing once it begins to snow (something that I have mixed feelings about..apparently Purdue never closes even if there is heavy snow...) Classes here are tough...I think I've done more work here than I have ever done at Lboro and I've only been here for a month..so much reading and tests! I actually have to work and read everyday and night..which is a new thing for me!! Lets hope this work ethic continues for my final year...here's me hoping.......
