Its been absolutely ages since I last posted something on this blog. Better late than never I guess :)
Since the last time I posted something, alot has happened. I was able to go to China with one of my best friends and experience my culture in a way I would have never done so back in London. The trip was absolutely amazing! If anyone gets the chance you should definately try and apply for the Study China Programme! Loved every minute of it and would do it again if I had the chance. Also at this precise moment I'm blogging from my new home for the year...Indiana. More precise Purdue University.
Unlike the trip to China this one seems more of a personal challenge for me and I hope I can survive the year! I arrived last night and so far I'm really home sick :(
The flight itself was a challenge with my huge ass hand luggage! So heavy that even now I'm in need of a massage. Weirdly also I had to recheck my luggage in at Boston which was a pain in the royal arse! The first time I have ever had to do such a thing and I still don't understand why. Meh. Anyways, on the flight from Boston to Indianopolis I could not stop crying, the guy sitting next to be must have thought I was a total freek! But luckly enough I managed to get the earlier shuttle to the university and arrived a good two/three hours earlier than planned :)
The room is basic and I prefer Loughborough sooo much more..! Ido miss the comfort of my ensuite and also the noise of Herrick Road and all my house mates. Here it seems far to dead and quiet to be a campus. In fact it doesn't seem like a campus but a little town, I don't even know where the main gates are! I don't think there is any tbh =s
But anywhoooo I have a year to be here and I'm going to try and make every penny count and stretch! But first make it to xmas....4months and counting until I get to see all those I miss now! xxx
